Howard and Dorothy Sun, the founders of Living Colour have won international acclaim for their pioneering work in the field of colour. Their creative, innovative approach offers a fresh and unique vision, which has helped many people throughout the world to transform their lives.
An astute awareness of colour was vividly imprinted on both Howard and Dorothy from an early age. Their continued interest led them to qualify as Colour Therapists in 1983, after which they began to practise their skills professionally, and in 1984, Dorothy established the first officially registered Colour Therapy clinic in the U.K. Nevertheless, both were aware that their knowledge of colour was far from complete.
This led to the establishment of Living Colour in 1984. Howard and Dorothy undertook an intensive programme of self-education in physical, emotional and mental behaviour patterns and the various strands of complementary medicine over the following five years. To these studies and their extensive independent research, Howard and Dorothy brought their own particular specialisations; Dorothy, her interest and involvement in counselling, communication and the human emotions: and Howard, his life-long interest in sound, movement and traditional Chinese teachings. From their innovative synthesis of these disparate elements and through their dynamism, Howard and Dorothy formulated a comprehensive, holistic system of colour.
As a result, Colour Your Life was written, and published in 1992 becoming an instant best-seller, its run-away success brought Howard and Dorothy's knowledge and vision to thousands of people throughout the world. It has already been reprinted several times and is available world wide in several languages. This firmly established Howard and Dorothy as experts in colour, and this recognition brought requests for corporate consultancy, lectures, radio broadcasts and television appearances.
