The Living Colour Training Programme teaches how to help
others with colour through the Colour Counselling course. Previous attendence
on the one day Colour Your Life seminar would be an advantage but is

Module 1 prepares the student to become a competent, caring Living
Colour Counsellor and introduces the student to the psychological power and
healing energy of colour.
Course Aims
- To enable the student to gain a heightened awareness of colour.
- To enable the student to understand and utilise the Colour Reflection Reading
to advise on colour for balance and well-being.
- To enable the student to develop communication skills, intuition and awareness
of others' physical and emotional needs.
- To enable the student to understand the use and effects of colour for personal
growth and development.
Course and Assessment Outline
The Colour Counselling Course (part 1) entails a 3 day teaching period, followed
by a 12 month endorsement period. During this time, as an integral part of
the
learning and development process, students are required to undertake home
study projects. These will include 30 individual client case histories and
a 3000-word thesis, which will form the main part of the assessment material.
Part 2 over 2 days enables the student to gain more comprehensive knowledge
to work with clients over a longer period and acquire more knowledge related
to the Colour Reflection Reading and Colour Counselling.
Course Content
To achieve these goals, the student is introduced to a wide variety of subjects
and techniques. These include the history and science of Colour Therapy;
the Colour Reflection Reading technique; Colour psychology and Counselling
skills; colour and emotional health; the effects of colour on physical health,
colour in decoration; colour
breathing and guided visualisations.
Interview
To allow applicants to find out more about Living Colour opportunities and
as an integral part of our selection procedure, all applicants are invited
where possible to an interview in London. Separate arrangements
can be made for overseas applicants. Some applicants will have completed
the
Introductory
Seminar.
Entry Requirements
The only prerequisite is for students to have read material prior to the course,
which includes the book "Colour Your Life." No prior knowledge
of Colour Counselling or practical skills is necessary and our students come
from all walks of life. However, as part of our selection procedure, we look
for people who have a sincere and genuine interest in caring for others and
who wish to achieve their personal goals using the Living Colour System.
Qualification
Successful candidates will receive a Living Colour Counsellor Certificate,
which qualifies them to use the Colour Reflection Reading. Support and advice
is also available in the form of business training and opportunities for
serious graduates who successfully complete the whole professional training
programme and are affiliated to Living Colour.
